Yeah, I would have snagged that one for free; I would have snagged it at a thrift or flea for short money too. It may be a cheapo, but it still beats the heck out of a Walmart egg any day! You'll never see a GPX, Coby, or Memorex box that size or style on a store shelf today........just saying! That 'POS' will blow the doors off of just about everything being sold today; the exceptions of course being the i931, the TDKs, that Altec Lansing thing......gotta keep things in perspective! .

Eh.......I agree, it might put out more volume than today's stuff, but its QUALITY of sound probably sucks.

I would have taken it, I have a set of Bose premium 6" woofers from an old lasonic project lying around, I could have put those in, along with the ;power supply from a 931

Well, that's very cool and whatnot but my perspective is, when you compare yesterdays trash to todays trash, it's still trash.
