I knew you'd get it too northerner!!
It's one of my faves. I reckon 95% of us collectors would agree that's its a beautiful looking radio.
If I was to describe the perfect looking boombox it would be pretty close to this. It's got a certain elegance about it that some of the big radios don't. Don't get me wrong, I love the conions and 777's but I love them for the brash, aggressive look, I love the 920 for its sheer elegance.......

awesome! , i always said the 920 has the best controls on any 1 piece box , such beautiful knobs and switches . also love the positioning of the line in/out jacks ,only problem is without the rubber boot covers on , rain likes to get in them .

in a THICK way -- the big ben is bigger --

So I got a new camera as well, and here are some pictures of the Sanyo :).
I got it from Italy for a winning bid of 200 Euros  came very fast and is in tip top shape except something happened to the tuner scale glass inside, looks oxidised or something when you have the green light on. Also the deck doesn't work, but other than that it's all good. Sound is very good, quite loud as well with only the M70 sounding louder. Very good bass, highs and some nice functions as stereo wide and loudness control. Very genuine and heavy, and I love the chromed knobs, like new after a bath. Enjoy !

Oy, All hail the mighty Sanyo M-X920

You got one with the Shortwave stations too. Damn I wish I had one with those!!

Despite the cloudy tuner glass, she looks so nice and minty!
Got to get me one of these Sanyos ;-)

I'm sure you'll have that deck working soon.

Congrats,

James.... :-)
