I don't know, but there are a few hard core collectors in the west, get to know them and your collection will soon grow.

AZA and Shane are good guys, and between them probably have 20 million or so boxes.

I'd hate to live there, competition for grails is fierce!

btw hi and welcome

It's not really a matter of how many collectors that you're in competition with but a matter of how many boxes each of the few members has because i think between them they've sucked WA dry. Having 300+ boxes is considered to be an average collector over there not even kidding.

In all seriousness i think there's somewhere between 5 and 10 that are on the forums and a few of them are regular posters.

There's also a guy in Ballajura (spell check?) by the name of Steve who was a collector of the bikes like you have in your pic - I mentioned boomboxes one time and before you know it he's a hardcore collector! Do you scavenge "bulkies"?

Well I'm not sure if I should say this but I'll shoot anyway - I was a collector of dragster bikes and parts since I left school... I ended up selling a mint 'long frame' red Malvern Star Deluxe with 3spd coffin shifter to him on eBay.., I had a buyer who pulled out at the end of the auction and Steve swooped in and made me an offer.., I was young and ended up selling it to him cheaper than I should have. We got talking and he used to call me from time to time to see if I had anything new that I would let go to him... One time I let it slip that I was into boomboxes and that they were worth collecting; so next time he calls me he brags about how many he'd acquired, like 20 in a month or so in varying sizes and qualities. He said he wasn't into them at all as he was a bikes n boards type guy and that I could swap him all my NOS bike parts etc for them. So I organised freight with my uncle who worked for Brambles at the time, a pallet of bike gear for a pallet of boomboxes!
Lo and behold, when I had it all laid out and set up, he fails to respond to any of my calls or emails for a month and then I get a one sentence email that says "sorry to dick you around but I decided to keep these boomboxes, they're worth money and I'm hooked'. Or something like that. Needless to say I was disappointed. 2 GF767s and 2 JC2000s were in the lot, I'm glad they're being rescued but to be honest I'm not glad it's by him. People I know call me greedy because I want to own more than one vintage boombox - they don't understand, I have a passion for them is all. Greedy is for people like Steve. That's all :)
