How do you remove the tuner number display plate thingy

I have a M70 apart but can't for the life of me figure out how the tuner number display plate and the tuner light plastic panel bits come out...

I believe it comes out from the inside... gotta take the chassis out if I remember right.

Not sure what's the correct way to remove it...but this is how removed mine...

• I first removed the needle dial at this spot and turn counter clockwise (first pic)
• Then I slide the number diplay all the way to the left and bend in the middle and I get the right side out first (second pic). Just be careful when bending the number display.

the reason you may be having trouble is I can see in the photo
you haven't removed the thin aluminium strip on top
This needs to be removed then the needle and then the scale
will all pop out

You're right....I missed that...I did not see that other piece.

ok cool thanks guys , I thought somehow it may have slid out from behind.

Bending it like that didn't even occur to me , bending hard plastic usually = snap!

Well there ya go. I guess when I had mine out I was cause I had it all apart, that's the only time I've had to have it out. Good to know!

Got it out, pull it up in the middle a little!, unclip the two clips one on the left and the other middle ish of the plastic bit then slide it to the right it then just comes out real easy slide the black bit the right too. Only had to lift it half an inch if that.

^ exactly how I do it too. Seems like the wrong way to do it but there is no other way! And as nikonfoo stated, you need to carefully pry that little aluminum scale off first.

If you are nervous at all still, you could always pull out the trusty hair dryer and warm it thoroughly first.

This video was exactly what I was looking for Blu_fuz, I have an M70 with the Plexi badly cracked and will replace it once I find one. Thanks for posting this.
