Very nice! I love the old Hitachis. Even though they don't sound as nice as other boxes, in my opinion Hitachi had some of the best designs.

It's looks amazing with needle meters. In my earlier days I have 8800 but now Hitachi TRK-9150W series with loud sound and bass. Thanks for Hitachi for giving such type of boxes.

"Good sound" doesn't necessarily require tons of bass.
Hitachis might not be bass monsters, but neither are most Panasonics.
I personally think these two Hitachis sound great. They have a normal amount of bass, they're not weak at all. In fact I think they sound way better than an RX-5150 or a GF-9191.
