ive got my 8080 coming back to me tomorrow-problem is while i had it before it needed re belting-i did the belts but it was still chewing tapes-we'll see whats wrong when i have another go with it-i also need to source a new battery cover for it!

Usually that means take up real not spinning . If all new belts on most likely cleaning of the other rubber wheels has to be done :hmmm: If my memory serves there is one under belts ;-)

Yeah spot on here it is, this is the deck from the donor machine which I didn't use as the original was better.
If it looks like this one perished,replace it,

Retrohead I have a battery cover if you want it just PM me your address and it's yours, it's very dirty but no damage.

Have you asked Malvern Audio?
They don't list by application, but if you have a rough idea of the length of the run, then buy a mixed pack of belts that includes sizes a few sixteenths of an inch in either direction. This was how I obtained the flat belts for both my 8080 and my Sharp 9090 as both were covered in the same selection. If you also need the square ones, they do packs of those too and their multipacks are actually cheaper than eBay seller revox_de individual belts, though he does at least list the application for every set that he sells. He doesn't list the 8080 ones but.
