Hitachi TRK-3D5E restoration, adhesives needed

Hi all,

Currently I am reviving a Hitachi TRK-3D5E.
Belts needed to be replaced and some serious cleaning and polishing
But when it is laying in parts now I have discovered that the cassette lids have a fault.
Especially one of them. There is a small nudge on the edge of the lid that is either worn off or as I suspect missing
by incorrect handling or design in itself.
This small nudge ensures that the lid opens and closes properly without shifting or moving sideways.

Now, I am planning on replacing it back in place. Not that I have the missing piece but want to make something from a
piece of plastic that could very well serve the need for it.
Only thing is, I have tried to fill a bit of the gap where the broken off part sits with epoxy glue but that won't hold.
Has someone gone down this path before and has some advice in what i could use or need?
My guess is that based upon some researching, most 80's era devices were made of ABS plastic.
But which adhesives do the trick on these?

I reside in the Netherlands and so far what I could find was a glue made for hard plastics like the Bison brand
that is sold here.
Any advice / tips very welcome indeed :)

Cheers,
Dan
