I love these two Hitachi models. I should admit that the RM sounds better than HC for high frequency. They both are powerful boomboxes.

That is right! The RM series also very rarely come up on Ebay here in US. They sound awesome! It got the tube radio sound. 8600RM is hard to find. I just got lucky to get it on Ebay.

Nice pics! I took pics like that years ago when I briefly had a 3-way TRK-8600H. The sound wasn't as good as the Japanese version so I sold it. They did look good together tho.
