Hide the Boombox...

Has anybody seen the new Father's Day Best Buy commercial running now? It features a JVC 3-piece... To sum up the commercial, a family wants something to give to their father on Father's Day (I guess they're tired of seein' the old man drag out his old boombox to play during their activities outside their home)... The young Best Buy salesgirl suggests that they buy those "rocks" with the speakers built in 'em. Next scene, mom chucks the old - still great looking - JVC boombox in the cupboard, they crank up the home system, and dad's looking around wondering where all this (supposedly great) sound is coming from... I guess at the end, they all live happily ever after - including the young Best Buy salesgirl...

That's negative propaganda for sure! I haven't set foot in a Best Buy store in probably two years. They're just a bunch of idiots.

BestBuy has practically won the Electronic Superstore war in this crap economy, thank god for Fry's in my city otherwise BB would have free reign.

I hope they take that JVC 3 piece to GoodWill where someone (like us) will buy and appreciate it and I hope they put those rocks up there arse .
