Hi People! I Had Another Stroke.............

Been out of circulation last few weeks after being rushed into hospital

I suffered a slight 'Brain Anolomy' ie: a small stroke - am lucky I didn't lose any motor functions but can still use everything albeit with one side with no nerve function which I am used to..................

So today I had to get back on my beloved computer to blast some tunes out, making me very happy

It's a well known fact that after such a serious brain stem stroke (March 2013) it's more than likely that others will follow, so I have done ok this far & am glad to be alive typing this & absorbing some top tunes

I am nowhere near ready to work on stereo's yet

so I surrounded myself with some of my fav stereos just to look at & use of course! Been using them a lot & enjoying them

Who knows what the future holds? Am I scared anymore? Nope, I have been to the brink of death twice since 2013 & can honestly say I am ready for whatever happens now be it good or bad.......................

Been wanting to post here to let you know but just didn't feel ready!!
Missed you guys & all the comments & discussions - the 2 forums are really a big part of me now & I love being a part of them

Meanwhile, I will be checking in daily to read both forums

All the best, hope you recover well and keep on enjoying the tunes. Some Thompson Twins perhaps - 'Doctor, Doctor' ?

Hey Nick, i wondered where you had been also. Glad to here your home now and chilling out.
Blast some tunes and enjoy your boxes. I hope you look after your health and have a great many years to come as your an integral part of this place!

See a good Doc. I know there are not many good Docs out there.
They all are pill pushers and not healers.

That's the way to handle things brother!!!

Never bow down to the disease. I know how you feel as I lived with cancer twice and I know time is a "tic tocking" but I say fark it!

I love that you are a music lover as I too live for the shiat. LOL!

Keep it going bro'.

Thanks guys! Didn't expect so many kind people to respond :-) I am doing all I can to live happy & the tunes will always be booming out here :-D

Am touched by peoples kindness.............After I had the stroke in 2013 all my 'Friends' just stopped coming round & contacting me - That's what you get used to :drool:
Love sharing the stereo obsession we all have, forums are what the internet was made for :yes:

It's nice having a forum of like minded people.

It's funny to, I have met a few people off the forums and its weird, you just shake hands and say "great to see you" type of thing and launch straight into chatting like old mates, in essence i guess that's what we all are. We may occupy different parts of the earth but we all share that same home (earth), same hobby and love music so we have so much in common already.

So there we are, your "mates" may have stopped coming to see you but you have new ones now so who cares!! Stay well matey.
