Hi all,
I'm new here today and relatively new to boombox collecting (in last year really).
I'm in UK and started collecting when looking to replace my long lost personal grail from my youth ... a Toshiba RT-S782.
Picked up a mint one on UK eBay and soon afterwards a Sharp 9191 that worked for about a week and then audio channel failed which led me to my second 9191 as a fix for the first but ended up that 2nd one was a better unit and so I cleaned that up instead of fixing first one (a project still in waiting).
Since then got an Aiwa TPR-980 (waiting to get fixed up), Sanyo M-X315L (cleaned up and working well), Aiwa CA-30 (needs rebelting but sounds great on radio and line-in) and most recently a Crown CSC-850 (my favourite find, sound for pound, apart from my Tosh personal grail
You may have already seen me on S2G but hi to all those that don't know me already.
I love all kinds of music but was brought up on soul, funk, hip-hop, jazz and dance music.
JT / Jon
