This is just a crazy story :hmmm:

For sure, it is GROSS

But it would take allot more than cat piss to slow me down

So, onto a full tear down and full rebuild

You know and I know YOU SCORED A GREAT RADIO!

And the coolest part is something you already said "Just goes to show that these classic boomers can be trashed at the drop of a hat"

Guys like us will do what it takes to keep these bad boys alive, even handling cat piss

Still a great score Blu

My VZ-2000 had the same issue. It had been stored in a shed an 'marked' by some cats.

The odour is pretty easy to get rid of with any of those cleaning sprays/liquids that remove odours.
Just spray it inside the box and close it up. Leave it for a couple of days and repeat.
Do this 3 or 4 times and all traces will be gone.

Good luck Joe!

Rock On.

Overall it isn't so bad. Alarm board was broken and fixed. Cassette door arm was broken and fixed. The case was scrubbed down. Decks re-belted. Grills are off getting blasted and repainted. Brought into work to have a jam fest!
