But, my C-126 sounds cleaner than my TC-999.. more crisp highs and slams just as much as the TC999.. even though its not 3-way speaker system...
other than the highs, they are close to identical..

Its in the garage, I can't have it in the house. You may ask why...... BECAUSE IT IS COVERED IN CAT PISS! That's what all the rust on the grills is from and there is a huge squirt pile on about a1/3 of the rear case. Gross. It does play radio and line in fantastic! Cassette door hinge is broke, antenna is junk, but overall in ok condition. Ill have to wear a tyvek suit and rubber gloves to work on this one.

Dibs on the tuner board. I love mine Blu. It's a good box. I'd take the whole thing if ya don't want it. Knobs battery door. Whatever you feel like giving up from it should it have to be parted out I'll take.

The first sign of cat piss and you start swooping in for the kill

Boogieman and Ira - the boombox works! Cassette motor turns, radio plays, and line in works. The cassette motor is working but the belt is probably gone. Didn't test the upper deck.
The reason it was playing on one side is because the mode switch for phono/radio/cassette is dirty. Worked it back and fourth a few times and both sides play.
All I have to say about it is for being a CONION, the C126 and the C100 are absoloutly NOTHING alike. The C100 is an entirely different beast that can only be turned up 1/3 of the way. The C126 you can turn it all the way up without making your ears bleed like the C100 would .
Cool looking box. Light enough to carry anywhere. And I like the RCA jack on the front so when you carry it the wires don't jack your leg

Now I gotta figure out what will eliminate this cat piss and how I can preserve/restore the words on the grills

You can make stencils for the woofer grill lettering I wouldn't sweat that!

Why are these sellers so quick to give you all your money back for an item? It must be guilt 
. If I was honest about a listing and the buyer wasn't happy because I missed a pretty big detail, I would offer some kind of refund, but give all the money back?!?! No way

I received the boombox today and is in overall decent shape. I know this is an "as-is" sale but we have some issues. The antenna is busted, the lower cassette door hinge is broke, AND the most disgusting issue is that this boombox is covered in CAT PISS! I was gagging and darn near threw up after opening the shipping box and unwrapped the boombox. The rust on the speaker grills is actually damage from the cat pee/spray/marking. We have animals so I can't even keep this packaging or the BOOMBOX in the house because it is so gross. How could anyone package this or even SELL this item without disclosing this? If I took this to the UPS store I'm sure they wouldn't even want it in their store to ship. I'm so disgusted right now and pretty upset about it. Now what are we going to do?

Well, for some reason they made it sound like they were giving me a full refund and then they backed out of that. Then came back and asked what I wanted? I said 1/2 refund would be fine, they said $30 refund..... and that $30 was finally refunded.
SO, not a freebie but better than nothing. Shoot, I might spend $30 in cleaners for this plastic . Yuck.
