Help with unknown part found in Sharp VZ-2000E

Hi don't know if any one recognises this part, see picture, I have brought a VZ-2000 in poor condition combined with damage in the post, quite a bit is broken, after i opened the case and took the Turntable out the unknown part was at the bottom of the case, i have searched the disassembly schematic and can not find any thing in the pictures?

It's a cover for the power supply.
Look at item 569, in the area circled below, on page 68.

For some reason, your part has been straightened out along one edge. It should be a right angle, but your part has a very shallow angle.
Either your part has been bent, or Sharp changed the shape of it after publishing the manual.

Hi thanks i thought i was going mad!, my service manual dose not show this part, although 569 is listed in the parts list, sharp_vz-2000-x_service_manual
Think i need the VZ-2000E service manual. Thanks again

There are many differences in the vz 2000 and the 2000e . even the rear case is configured differently.
I would get the exact service manual for your model.
Also there are many electronic differences in the PC boards and connections.
