Man, that reminds of the time I was there in Tokyo, May 2006... The day I got there, it was raining. Out of the 19 days I was there, there were probably only 2 days of clear blue sky - including the day I left. All the other days were grey. Also, while I was there, a major Typhoon brushed past Japan and hit China but still dropped a lot of rain... If I'm not mistaken, May is one of the rainiest months of the year in Japan. :-/

On a related note, I see you got soaked real good... Same thing happened to me on one of those days. :-D

Lesson: when you're in Japan and the skies are grey, ALWAYS carry an umbrella! ;-)

Oh yeah, it's the rainy season alright. Never been through a full blown typhoon before. It;s f'n ROARIN' outside right now. I'm uploading video PART 2 right now! The surf it getting crazy. The full storm is to hit tomorrow. Right now, I'm on the second floor of a 9 story building and every window is whistling and the building is shaking. But you have to give it to the Japanese, the power is on, the streets are clear, they are patrolling the streets and there is a warning on the TV to put your stuff away so it doesn't fly away! :w00t:

Should be a long night with the winds blowing! TV says they are expecting 140 mph winds!

RADICAL there'll be no :surf:

Finally, some real news reporting! :-) Meanwhile at CNN.com, they continue to feed us their worthless mind dribble reporting, with winners such as: 'Is raising a child free of gender roles a good idea?' and 'how to feed a stray dog'.
(No mention of the storm at all on the front page. )

"Hello this is your roaming reporter Chris reporting LIVE for Boomboxery.com. I'm in the thick of the action....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....Holy...Sh@t.......... :-O "

I'm uploading more video's....

Last night was F'n NUTZ! I have video where I swear the the front windows were going to blow out and I thought we were going to loose the front door. It was bending outward two inches! Once the power went out, we all located in the back bedroom to get away from the two glass walls.

Just crazy!

It was a LOOOOONG night, with the building shaking, windows screamng.

It's mellow now, light wind,

I'm going down to the sea wall in a little bit to see the surf.

You know, all I could think about was the people in Joplin, Missouri. Those people never had any warning or chance. We knew this was coming a week in advance. Plus I have been through some serious earthquakes in California (Northridge 1994) so I wasn't THAT freaked out (even though it looked like it in the video's below! :-P  :-/

Haven't heard anything on the official wind speeds....

Going to the Sea wall to shoot some vids of the surf.

Hey, Chris having experience 2004 & 2005 hurricanes in Miami I know what you're going through. Our sliding glass doors were made for Cat. 3 and when Wilma hit us they looked as if they were breathing scary stuff because they can shattered and cause severe injury and possibly death.

One side of our building was hit by a water spout and sucked one section of apartments from top to bottom.

Check this video out you'll see the destruction this bitch caused.

I'm originally from New York and I've always been curious what would it be like to witness a hurricane after being hit by numerous hurricanes in those two years I'm done!!
