I just ignore the Ebay listings promising a 'fully working tape deck' - they never are so I get me a partial refund every time!!

I even had one guy promise me he had the deck 'professionally rebuilt' with new belts etc. After receiving the unit with it's non-operational deck, I pulled it down and found that the belts had disappeared in transit!!

That's amazing how the belts just wriggle themselves off the pulleys, morph through the structure of the deck, then re-materialize outside of the radio in the back of a truck.
