Has it ever been determined?

I've been meaning to ask (since We here are looked up to for knowledge), What the dimensions are that classify a Box as Mini vs. Mid vs. Large? Up to what size can We call a 'Mini' before it crosses over to Midsize, etc.? I guess it might be good to have a generally accepted Standard that both BoomBox sites would agree to & recognize.

Good question, ive often wandered the same thing.
I think most my boxes are mid-size, anything bigger than my Rising 20 20 i call large

no adam -- there are just to many ' cross-over ' sizes -

like the crown 850 or the m70 are " big middies "
and the are some very oversized minis -
and there are ' mico-minis
etc
etc

My suggestion would be to come up with a BMI (Boombox Mass Index) Weight of the box devided by the sum of height, lenght, depth. After we've done that for the top 100 boxes we could determine the scale for mini, mid, large, humongous.

Good suggestion Hurb, the only problem would likely be that everyone has a bias towards there favorites
so there would be a lot of disagreement as to what constitutes a large box or medium box . This might work if everyone could remain neutral-fat chance!
