Happy Birthday To Me?

My birthday present arrived monday. A C-126F that looks ...well...perfect.
Took my breath away. Never been so happy!





Until I shook the package. I've never heard such a rattle.

Opened it up and the transformer had come broken off, grenaded the amp board into a dozen pieces and broke the tuner cord & wheel. :grim:
Other than that, it sure looks great, though.













So bummed out.

Happy birthday though its broken its not amp board. That's the power board that transformer is attached to. You might be able to make a new one since there's not much to it. You should be able to hook up battery wires and run off batteries for time being. . Can I ask, is this from china? I always remove transformers from big units especially black ones.

That seriously sucks but bill is right what's in the pic is the power supply, I hope that's all that broke. I once received a box that the transformer broke loose in and did destroy the amp board, I hope that's not what really happened to yours. If it is just the power supply you have a decent chance of repairing or even fabricating a new board.

You can bet that all the big ones I ship in the future will have the transformer removed. I really wouldn't wish this on anybody. It seems that maybe the lightness of the box had something to do with it. It is really quite flimsy, not very substantually built at all.

Yep, it's from China, and aside from this small f-up it was a great deal. Good packaging and the price was right when you figure it was free shipping.

About that shipping. It was here in only 10 days, so it wasn't sent cheaply. Altogether, a fair price when all is said and done. I mean, it came all the way from Beijing in 10 days!
