Hey guys, sorry I was away playing chess all night :-D .
It's not sharp gf 777, aiwa 880, crown 950 or panasonic 5350. Or a rising. Or another sanyo 920 (I got one). But if you're gonna start naming brands this will take like 15 min to narrow down, so I will say no comment on those.

And Fresh, did you really recognize the cfs-99 by the mic inputs ? that's crazy. well done.

My guess on the handle is JVC-RC838

Zippy is correct ! S90 Indeed.
Well done guys, I had like 10 more pictures for each box :-D.

So these were obtained from a trade with >Stereophonic<, great guy :smooch:  , don't hesitate to do business with him even though he takes forever to answer emails. So he got my Sharp VZ-2000 and Panamax Pana-8710 and I got these and some cash .
They are amazing  !
The Sony is just really well-built, heavy and solid. the angled tuner with all the sliders ? polished Metal  . The handle ? So extremely reliable. Deck working but only sound from left speaker. But the sound is great, nothing spectacular, but it holds up fine in the collection, mabe similar to Goldstar TSR-800 or ICS STR 5091. And the shape is great, only missing an antenna tip and a small slider (hit me up if you got one ;-) ). Its so unique and classy, like a Lego brick with speakers, a top angled section and cassette parts in the middle. Great  .
The Tosh is, as expected, mindblowing in the sound department :hooray: . Oh man. Better than all my other boxes except for maybe the Sanyo 920 and perhaps The tosh 9990. very balanced, lots of bass, clear and there are lots of options for tweaking, look at all those knobs  ! Its in even better condition nothing missing only the trim is a bit bend above the VU-meters. And I can't seem to open it, glue in the screwposts :hmmm: ? Deck spinning but not sounding. Very polished, home-stereo feel. And those green VUs  ! wow. Love it.

Here are your rewarding pics of the units:

Or I could use a good Japan-UK voltage converter, because with power the VUs stay lit all the time apparently. Does anyone have a good one they could recommend ? ebay I thought.

Maplins would be my first port of call. I bought a 250V-220V one from them and noticed several other types. My own 100/117/250V one is Tacima brand and came from Tandy (now RS) back min the '80s, they don't trade any longer hence the Maplins suggestion.
