Got A Sony CFS-3000 For $5.99 At Goodwill!

Hi everyone-I just got a cool little Sony CFS-3000 at Goodwill today for $5.99!!
It cleaned up pretty nice and the sound is impressive for a smaller to mid-size booomer!!
It;s a 3 piece and It just had to have a home!
Just the very tip is missing on the antenna otherwise it's all there including "It's A Sony" sticker on the tape door cover!
Photos later this weekend!
Goodwill hasn't had crap for boomboxes until the last few days.

I also got a Sony CFS-1055 3 piece w/megabass & it had stickers on it(kind of cool) & line-in!! for $5.00!
I'm going to give it to my brother for his cabin!

Hi Holly! I'll try to but here's some hints,Goodwill finds like come in spurts sometimes there's a lull for months then there might be a few but never any grails! At least not yet but good older mid-size to smaller boomers and lots of Walkmans! I only buy the good ones.
Another tip Tues-Friday am to early afternoon,that's the best time & the weekends forget about it unless your incredibly lucky!

Hi everyone-Here's the photos of the Sony CFS-3000 that I got at Goodwill for $5.99.
It all works and there's a couple of blemishes on the speaker top(small burn) and the antenna is just missing the very tip.
It has decent sound & it says transound on front!

I had one of these for a little while back in the early 90's.......NOT the best sounding box by any means but you could run that volume slider all the up to ten with hardly any distortion...it was a wolf in sheep's clothing volume-wise. I actually saw the gray version at Goodwill last week but I passed...and instead went home with a Sanyo C4 compo from another GW store later that day!

I got the same box at a thrift yesterday in excellent shape! Just have to wipe some finger smudges off it.. Tape works great and even came with batteries! I didn't know at first that there is a seperate switch on the back if you want to use it on battery power.. :dunce:
It is now the smallest box I own, but has a real decent sound to it! Got a Parliament tape jammin in it now! :breakdance:

My best buy ever was a like new JVC RC838 for $50. :-D :-D

It still smells new.. :-D

Again..I had the same issue in my sleep...... :lol: :lol: .I woke up in my sleep to make a reality check....to make sure it was a dream or not :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
