GF 1000 Breathes a new breath of life.( Pic Heavy)

Ira AKA Redbenjoe left his prized gf 1000 with me to get it restored when he came up for
Sunshine Mix 2012 . You can see the restoration thread in the restorations section of the site.
This has proven itself to be more of a task than I thought it would be But...
Well after about 20 hours here are the results...
Enjoy!!! Im jamming to it right now with some classic house music by Royal House.

i think your 20 hours was actually more like 90 hours --
and it looks like 900 hours

this just has to be the worlds greatest box resto -

oh --and thats some first class photography --

wifey and i are driving over there to get it --in our crappy old tacoma pick-up

but this box looks like it deserves a LIMO !!!!!!

Thanks guys. It's by no means perfect but it's 99.9 percent better than it was!

frank --i do like the speaker color - 50 times better than before

cant tell for sure till saturday --perhaps a few shades more creamy ( less white )
may have looked ' richer ' ??
surely --it will get ' less white ' shortly -- around here in my trailer park

also --as one more photo request --can you get some lighting or setting that shows the
sweet blue woofer case ? ( it looks black in that light )

btw -- the back color is scary GREAT !!!

here is a thought to ponder --

studying the gf1000 ....
then --looking all about at other ' grails ' etc etc

concluding that NO other box in the world could have so benefited from franks work --
because NONE have this much inherent style to begin with -

therefor -- THIS was THE perfect project.

anybody know what i mean ??

The thing is....the 7##/1000 series radios are complicated precision instruments. I just don't have the guts to dig into them for that reason. But I am building up the strength....and these threads help!

I just wish we could get Frank to quit his day job and do this full time (and I wish I had the money to pay him )
