Does anyone have any special tips to remove them? You know the ones, those that are really hard to move to get the old soft, mis-shaped pinch roller out.
Some of those pins are actually rivets and they are almost impossible to replace , your best bet it to replace the whole arm there's one c clip that holds the whole arm in.

Floyd is right! That is the best way to handle it.
Some are one end friction fit and the other like a rivet.
Either way one has to remove the whole assembly if you are trying to remove the pin.
I had luck with thin end mini punches.
I placed it on a wood board and punched it at the axle pin tip. The other end went into the wood. But be careful not to make the existing hole any bigger.
