Just got a GE 3-5672A for 10 bucks at goodwill. It’s mint other that the drive belts are deteriorated. Bought some belts but not sure how they route. Any idea where I can locate a diagram? I feel a boombox addiction coming on.

Nice.
If you're sure you have the correct belts, you might be able to figure out the routing by their size.
If you can't, there's no manual in the library here so you might want to try analogalley.com.

Yeah I’ve searched a ton. I bought some multi-packs of various sizes belts. It’s a dual cassette and 1 motor feeds both sides. There are 2 wheels on each side and 2 grooves in each so it’s seems like it would be simple but it’s not. I’m probably just over thinking it. I’ve I ever find anything I be sure to share it on here.

It looks like Analogalley.com has that manual so if you really can't figure it out, you can buy the service manual.
If you look at it from the sides, top and bottom, you should be able to see which pulleys line up.
Sometimes a belt will run more than 2 pulleys which can make it confusing.
You can also post some pics and someone might be able to give you an idea of where they go.

Did you end up figuring it out?? I just got the 3-5671a (it looks like they share manuals) and my belts are shot as well but they are hanging on enough I got some pictures of how they are routed if you still need that. I just needed the belt info which someone so kindly posted here! Thanks guys can’t wait to have this thing going, the detachable speakers are sweet.

Hi Wolffman, I just got a 3-5671a with all the belts turned to goo. I've downloaded the service manual but it doesn't have a clear diagram of belt routing, just an exploded diagram with sections of belt shown wrapping around the various capstans. Have tried a few belts in various configurations, but there's still a bit of wow-and-flutter. Would you mind posting your pictures of the belt routing? That would be very helpful Cheers

Hey Wolffman, would it be possible to get those pics of the belt routing? Also how many of each belt is needed?

I have seen these mech in a number of different boxes. One motor with two belts for each transport. The small belt works super hard and has to fit size wise perfectly. There is also a pin for the pause button that can foul the flywheel sometimes I had to remove the pin and make pause redundant. Anyway these are hard to make work well even maybe better to just install two belts and only have one Deck working.
