no chris -- the ' super-radios ' were all mono --
and a good bit smaller than the great blockbuster
OK, I seem to remember a few years back someone talking about and posting pictures of a smaller mono (no JVC 550) with a MEGA Tuner. I think the pictures were on their front porch. Said they listened to it regularly.

I have had to really control myself from walking down that path. I have seen allot of sweet, CLEAN little mono radio's...no cassette. But I don't have the space for those and I know if I get one, more will follow me home.

I've got one - GE 3-5280A - it was my first boomer. :)

It's no world radio - only two bands (AM FM) - but supposedly it can pick up stations much further away than a typical radio. Haven't been able to confirm this though; the airwaves are too crowded here in SoCal. It's small enough that maybe I'll take it on my next trip to the Caribbean to confirm.

Go!

I love everything about this era GE, the green tinted glass, the all silver exterior, the switch style. Nice one you got there Miles!
