Ok guys, while I'm still waiting for Bill's package to arrive, let me show you my latest eBay find. Topic title says everything :-D I've heard about this box before but never really pay attention to it. Now I know why some is after this box. All I can say is W :drool:W!!! The sound is pretty amazing :w00t: Almost very close to the sound power of the Sanyo M-9994K if not more powerful  Well this one came dirty, so I did my best to clean the exterior for everybody to see, and all the control knobs where scratchy, so a few sprays of DeoxIT and no more static noise :-) Everything works including radio and aux input and of course those "dancing" needle VU meters :-D Cassette does not work, stuck on "play mode" and that crack in the tuner glass window which is a major eyesore :evilmad:

Other than that, I am very happy with it    and as usual enjoy the pics. I think I have a new personal grail :-D

Very nice Larry  I've always wanted one. Use to have a totally mint relative of that, the Realistic SCR8. Rick (Glucifer) has it now :-)

Oh I can fix that deck for you too. There is a piece inside that lifts the heads into position that usually breaks. It's repairable with JB Weld ;-)

Thanks Bill. YES, I will definitely send this your way to be cleaned and repaired :-) Actually the first time I tried the cassette it was kinda working, rewind and ffwd. When I push play second time, that's when it got stuck permanently on play mode :sadno: I don't know what happened. :hmmm:

I had one of these and now it is with a very special member of this site. (At least I hope it still is.) :-D

I had it and it's twin the Realistic SCR-8. Both fantastic boxes.

Congrats! Best center caps ever.
I wonder why it needs to consume 49 watts of input, though. That's a lot more than most boxes.

Now this is a very nice clean box, like others, I also have the SCR8 version.
Has anybody had both? do they sound the same?
I got 'em both. My blockbuster rocks over my SCR-8. Funny thing is my SCR-8 is in almost perfect condition and my (non-graffitti'd) blockbuster is in shambles. Seems that the blockbuster has better speakers IMO.

I agree to that it bumps close to the 9994 but I really think the 9994 takes it slightly. Maybe its just the build quality of the 9994 that acts as a plecebo effect though

Well that sounds about right.

Because if you think the 9494 just shades the Blockbuster, I say my 9494 kills my SCR-8.
I know what I mean :-D
