If your mother is still living, honor her
If your mother has passed, put new flowers on her grave
If you can't do any of that, surely you know someone who is a mother. Be nice to her.
And from a mother, we really don't need to be showered with expensive gifts. We just want you to remember. Buy a card, clean the kitchen, wash her car, take care of everything just for one day...just do something. Quite honestly, I'd be thrilled if someone would take the dog out and leave the house quiet so I could sleep in.
