Fisher 430 - any good?

There's a nice looking Fisher PH 430 available locally for $50.... Pics look pretty good, but I am not really into Fisher anything...

Should I be?

Anyone out there with one of these got anything good or bad to say about it? How does it compare to a JVC M70 or PC series?

Any insights greatly appreciated.

Hey J.T. Fisher boomboxes are made by Sanyo.
The PH430 is probably equal to a Sanyo C-4 or C-5 which are ok sounding units.
Nothing compared to the JVC RC-M70.
Probably pretty equal to say the JVC PC-70 in sound and loudness.
It might be worth $50.00 if it's in nice condition.
Just my opinion though......

I believe these were made so cheap in the late 80s.\



It is a waste of money and space.

I have a few in my collection like that one.

as with the other fishers in the PH series this one is no different.. though it lacks the looks of the other silver PH Fishers.. it is still a very solid box.. i have owned one and it didnt feel/sound cheap at all.. $50 sounds fair to me.. if it was close i'd grab it..
