1st let me say how great it is to see so many people finding these old boom boxes and keeping them like they were and better. I love to look at the projects and restorations done here.
I grew up in the 80’s and the first box I had was a single cassette mono speaker AM/FM (I think it was a GPX). Then in 1983 at the county fair my parents bought me a Lloyds boom box w/detachable speakers. I loved that little box and still have it today and it looks and works great. Then in late 1984(I think) while wandering a mall in Fargo, ND I came across the Conion C-100F. I was dumbfounded. I fell in love immediately but, with the high price it was not meant to be until now.
I figured 28 years was long enough to wait for one of these behemoths.

Looks awesome! Enjoy. :-D I love coming home from work on a Friday and blasting mine with a Bass Ale in hand. I'm sure you will, too.

Thanks for all the replys, I took it home and cleaned all the switches and the pots. It sounds great and everything works good with the exception of the bottom cassette deck. I need a couple good picts of the tray that holds the tape in the drawer. I am missing that part and need to try to make something work or get a replacement part. I also need to fix the pull out tray on the bottom. This should be no problem though. Other than that, new belts, a good cleaning in and out and it should be ready for another 28 years.

hey tschott93,
I made a cassette door from aluminium for one of these ages ago, before I found a door on ebay and shelled out for it. My inner cassette cradle might be of use to you? PM me if you're interested.
