1st let me say how great it is to see so many people finding these old boom boxes and keeping them like they were and better. I love to look at the projects and restorations done here.
I grew up in the 80’s and the first box I had was a single cassette mono speaker AM/FM (I think it was a GPX). Then in 1983 at the county fair my parents bought me a Lloyds boom box w/detachable speakers. I loved that little box and still have it today and it looks and works great. Then in late 1984(I think) while wandering a mall in Fargo, ND I came across the Conion C-100F. I was dumbfounded. I fell in love immediately but, with the high price it was not meant to be until now.
I figured 28 years was long enough to wait for one of these behemoths.
Ebay Here I come!
