 The wisdom of our governments sucks more and more as time goes on.

The more they control, the more they screw up.

Perfectly stated, we need to be governed less not more.

A Ronald Reaganesque statement, perfectly appropriate to a boombox forum. I had a discussion about that at work one time; the American politics of the 80's.

"When black people were so happy, they were dancing in the streets."

My friends got a kick out of that. It probably helped that most of them were black guys in their 50s. I'm a big fan of smaller government, and I thing Reagan made some kickass speeches, but they seemed to think he was responsible for crack.

here in england in our charity/thrift stores things have reached desperate times-and i mean desperate times-a few months ago i was in a huge thrift store in the city in their upstairs segment, and i spotted what looked like a hitachi 9100e speaker jutting out of a big box of junk,so i thought here wego....went over to close in on my prey....to find the middle of the unit missing and the other speaker just buried in the box.....when i asked where was the middle bit they told me i couldnt have it as it had failed the electrical test.its all a load of bullshit!and the shop i volunteerin has been terrible over the last 12 month period-had a small sanyo m9950 and a horrid jvc 3060 tv box out of there and thats it-they actually had £50 on the tv box???? i told them thats a load of rubbish and the tv was dead and offered them 3 quid and they took it!currently they have nothing but modern crap (not even eggs lol)sat on their shelves and the stock doesnt altar from week to week-so dissapointing considering ive had an 8585,9090,3d8e and a couple more boxes from the same shop in the recent past!its all the fault of ebay-but lets not go down there eh

Yep - sadly the st.vincent and salvation army here in tas do NO electronics, just the odd lamp - the monster skip is emptied weekly and I cringe every single day as I drive past - every morning I check the new drop-offs before the store opens but every day it's nothing :( I just KNOW the boomers are getting buried here with all these stupid tasmanian lead-heads running the place.
