any of you unlucky guys ever go thru the agony of losing an action ?
probably not :-D ;-)

well.... i have lost a few .........
to be more accurate -- a few THOUSAND !! --really :-) :'-( :sadno:

and every time --we get these immediate pep-talk ebay emails...
" sorry you didnt win this time "
and with a list of other ebay crap we would want -- like never !!!

anyway --i am always so pissssed and depressed after a loss -
that i never want to look at any of those 'loser' offers -
you guys know what i mean -

but --tonight my loss was very predictable --
and not the usual big tragedy -
so - i actually checked out their loser suggestions :-)

for all practical purposes - ebay said this to me ::::
:-P
' too bad you cant afford a real boombox , ahole
but , perhaps - even a poor slob like you can save up for this
PAINTING of a boombox '

I got it. Ira is so rich so he is considering to get into the art business now  . Trying to catch Van Gogh's famous "Boombox between sunflowers" painting  .

A long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), I actually used to "bite" when eBay told me they had other things for me that were exactly like what I had just lost. I thought, "Cool! Maybe my loss doesn't need to be so heartbraking. Maybe I don't have to contemplate suicide, after all. Apparently there are thousands of boomboxes out there that are just as nice (and maybe even nicer!) as the one that was just sniped out from under me." Well, I was WRONG... not just once, but time after time after time. Until I finally got so sick of being built up for a letdown that I vowed never again to look at whatever trash eBay's "you might also like..." search software spits out. Sorry, eBay, but a cheesy, gold-plated, miniature, boombox-shaped trinket for stringing on my charm bracelet, adorable though it is, is NOT the same as a Panasonic 5350!
:annoyed:

Instead of the consolation prize list they should email phrases such as ---

"Sorry you lost the auction... however, the seller is a dink and lied in the description so you are better off not winning"

"Sorry you lost the auction... if you would have not been a pussy and bid higher we would have made more money in final value fees"

"Sorry you lost the auction... good thing though... if your postal delivery man had to haul another huge box to your door he would have shot you in the face"

"Sorry you lost the auction.... but you should be using those funds to get your water turned back on anyway"

"Sorry you lost the auction... now you can go back to surfing pron before you lose that end-of-auction chubby"

Or, in my case (if eBay were honest),

"Sorry you lost the auction, chump, but this item was one-of-a-kind and there will never, ever be another one like it on eBay again. So, either find another hobby or feel free to end it all now and save yourself a lifetime of pointless searching."

:'-(
