It actually looks decent from the front, but it looks horrible from the back with that red handle...the rear casing would look better painted IMO.

I wouldn't mind owning that... looks pretty good to me, although like someone else says, it doesn't really match in the backside. Perhaps the back done in black or charcoal would look more appealing.

The orange peel paint job looks even worse since he used clear coats to show up the paint faults - yuk
Yep, found that out the hard way after taking a beater car to Earl Sheib.....

I paid extra for their "premium" job, with like 3 coats of clear.........And all it did was magnify the orange peel.

Clear coat is never worth it unless you are taking it to a REAL paint shop and paying $2,000 plus............Not some cheap $600 paint job.

Back on topic, how many times has that dude listed that box? At least 5 or 6 now?

Sand it down and do it again dude.

If you are going to paint a box, do it right! Remove the faceplate so all the little grooves around the rocker switches and knobs get painted, the cassette areas get painted, and the tweeter surround plates get painted...
THis just looks like a half-ass Wal-Mart spray can job!

Does anyone else have other than original colored boombox's, or just this ebayer?

...I have MANY other than original colored boomboxes. It wouldn't be much fun to have a wall covered with all silver and black boomboxes. So I decided to add some color to my boombox wall. It is not for everyone but it suits me just fine. Cars come in a multitude of colors so owners can show their originality so why not boomboxes too? I actually like the red Conion but the paint job definitely needs to be done over but I would definitely leave it red if it were mine... :-D
