Now now, I 'know' some of you are going to trash the day and what it means "blah blah you should show appreciation for your woman every day". Yeah, you're right, but do you 'really' do this daily?. And yeah, I know it is a purely commercial holiday, cooked up by Hallmark and Hershey's, but still.
Sure, diamonds and jewelry rock, but more than anything, we want to know that you remembered. I pinky swear, it's not about how much you spent. Oh, and here's a secret about us girls.....we just wanna show off to our co-workers or friends how awesome our man is. One of my favorite Valetine's was when Fatdog brought me 24 giant red heart shaped mylar ballons to the office. My desk was completely covered up, you could see them all the way down the hall, and they lasted WEEKS...IT.WAS.AWESOME!
If cashflow is tight, make an old school valentine like when you were a kid. Or even better, just do something around the house (vacuum, clean the bathroom, laundry {if you are allowed}, get the kiddos ready for school, heck, just let me sleep in an extra hour).
I promise, more than anything, it's that you remembered and took time out to acknowledge us. C'mon fellas, don't let me down. Oh, and if you should be out of a relationship, you still can make a girl smile. I bet there is a single girl that never gets any attention, send her a secret admirer gift, just to brighten her day.
