collecting old things is pretty intresting. in many respects its very telling of how we have been tricked into thinking newer is better.

Really expensive shoes, E.T toys and A Team toys.... Also a little love for gizmo from gremlins. I'm lucky as hell, she likes all the stuff I do as well, like boxes, bmxes, vintage nike/adidas etc breakdance stuff . . . .

My wife collects Barbies. Or at least she did for a while... until they took over a few rooms of the house and she had to start boxing them up for storage. She finally decided that, if she couldn't enjoy them anymore on a daily basis, continuing to accumulate them didn't make sense. Now she buys the occasional special edition that catches her eye, but no longer sucks them up like a vacuum. I should follow her example!
