My box blew the resistor directly behind the power button. It is a Dynasty HT-959/Helix wheely 5000. If you have a wheely of any brand could you open it up and tell me what the color code of this blow resistor should be. Please help if you can. Thank you ;-).

I am pointing at it with a screwdriver. Someone has to know what the color code of this should be.

It's hard to guess, since it's burned.

Try measuring it ...

Follow the traces and try to guess its function. Its a power resistor.

It's near a connector and two pots ... are those pot for the motor ?????.

see if there is another one, same size with same stripes on the ends, it's possible they will be the same, if you can't find out from anyone else

I looked everywhere in the boombox and there is not a single resistor that is the same size as the one that is blown. There are also no other resistors that match the two color bands that are visible. It looks like I really need your help on this part guys. You have given me good tips but I can't just guess what color code resistor to put in.

I contacted vienna sound from S2G because he is working on his wheely. Hopefully he gets back to me with info on the resistor. He should have the same one in his box. :crossfingers:

Great info. But aside from the helix, I wonder how many folks have even heard of any of the rest?

You know, before I bought my Lincoln LS, I never knew the car existed. Never seen one before. Then when I became an owner, a weird thing happended: I saw the same car all over the place. No, I didn't start a buying frenzy on that model -- it is not that common, never was and still isn't. However, it's like when I had one of my own, I became enlighted and saw things that had always been right in front of me, but didn't notice.

I suppose because that isn't really a model I'm personally interested in, I am blind to it -- just fades into the background. I imagine this is common for a lot of things in life. We see what we are looking for and don't really see what isn't important to us.

Thanks, saved it ;-).

You know, that international you posted is the most different of all these AKA's. The speaker dust caps look to have multi ribs in them, the tape doors are different, and the tape counter and the alarm sensor are switched around too..... wierd

EDIT: Holy crap that first pic is awesome! It looks like a really great upgrade from the original style. What is the functions between the counter and alarm sensor? I want it
