Chris, You definitely have the Boombox bug. Many of Us might need to be bug bitten once again. I too, have stopped a delivery person to ask if My package was in their truck, but it wasn't. Congratulations!
What ever it takes. To be honest, that wasn't my first time doing that.

Fantastic - two of my favourite things - camping and a Crown boombox - I have the 850 but would love a 950 some day - I have heard great things about them - also great photos (another hobby of mine) - rock on dude!

I just got back from a walk to the beach, 950 in hand, a very patient look on my wifes face.

(I wrote "I love you" in the sand, she got over it quick)

This is a great all around radio, again great bass, plenty loud enough. If a radio can be heard over the surf, you got a winner!

Again, never really had to push the upper area of the volume knob, found myself having to turn down more often.

I should really stop praising this box. Joe was a little bumded that he sold it.

I however, am not.

I look like that old beach bum that used to surf, but now just sells weed.
 The old beach bums that hang around here look more like Iggy Pop will look in 2028 if he lives that long, and please stop making me want a smoke, it's far too early in the day!

They look like they were meant to be together. I'll bet the SCR-8 will fit right in along with these two, It's about the same size and everything.

Boy Howdy, you have some nice mid-sizes, Chris. Livin' the boombox lifestyle, takin' your tunes wherever they may be needed, that's the life.
