Do you even collect?

To most, collecting is a casual thing. To others NOTHING WILL STOP US!

This weekend I am camping with my wife. But I had a package to be delivered via UPS on Thursday as did my wife. I split in the morning to get a camp site early and my wife stayed behind to work and collect the packages.

But when I was putting gas in the truck, at the station was the UPS truck! I ran over and asked if he had the boxes, he checked and said they were on another truck. I told him what was going on and he tracked down the other driver and offered to drive to him so I could follow!

Success!

So, I split to the first nights camp site and opened my newest box!









Yes....the Crown 950...from our great member Blu_Fuz. Thank you bro.

Upon unpacking, I leard a small rattle inside, turns out the tweeter popped off its mount. No damage, just popped back in place. Camping / boombox repair.

We're on solar and batteries (including D's) for the next few days. I did a decent "Field Detail" and the 950 looks great.

And this thing Rocks. Great bass, Good volume.

I guess its time to get another butane soldering iron!

The 950 sounds great so far. I haven't had a chance to light it up, but at low volumes it has fantastic bass and crisp highs. I did turn it up here in the camper for a moment before I got "The Look" from the wife. We're walking over the dunes tomorrow to the beach....you know what that means!

As for the 850. They are very different imo. The 950 seems to have the "Tone" in a different place on the volume knob.
