Whenever i get upset, or pissed off at someone/something...my FIX is getting a new boombox...i've learned over the years that it's cheaper for me to spend $$$ on a nice box, then spending $X1000's on lawyer fees for assault etc...

I have met a few boombox collectors in the flesh...they're all "normal" to me

I should admit that I also have the same problem! When I am sad or not that motivated, I also will find fun in cleaning and fixing boomboxes and playing with my other collections, or wash, wax and shine my cars.

Oh man, I've been saying "I'm done! I'm DONE!" About purchasing blasters, but then I'm surfing Epay a few minutes later looking for a steal.. :ebay:
I took a look at my Paypal activity last night........ I don't want to add it up, but within the past month I've spent over $1500 on Boomboxes and boombox parts! :nugget:

I am a boomboxaholic without the funds to supply my habit. :'-(
But I do still enjoy them every day! Take one with me whenever possible,
Have thousands of pictures of them and am also on here at least 5 times a day.
As well as window shopping on eBay every day.

Well guys...i've met TONS of all kinds of collectors throughout the years of my boombox collecting...lots of my contacts that find me my boxes use the money i give them to fund their collecting...and a few people throughout the years told me, that DEATH is the only way out...and in my case death will be my only end to collecting/hoarding/buying boxes, i see no end whatsoever and even my wife is cool with that

My boxes will always be first, family second...or is it vice-versa ? I guess i am a boomboxaholic

Funny............ my collection does not seem strange or out of place to me.........but I have asked my family and friends if it seems "weird" to them and they all give me the same expression (mouth open) and shake their heads yes. Most say they have never seen so many "radios" in one spot......... I don't think I have a problem.....

My realization might be that I I'm a Boomboxaholic because I don't even remember if and what boxes I might have bought and are currently on their way to my house. A big box shows up at the front door, and you honestly didn't know you had bought it a week or two back at 2am when nobody was looking. I just relaxed this as I saw shipment email updates on 2 boxes that I didn't remember details of, because I bought them....... while on vacation, now that's just wrong.

And another reason, it's damn near perfect in Minneapolis right now on a Saturday afternoon. There might be 2 feet of snow here in 2 months, and I'm gonna head to the dark basement 'lab' right now to work on boxes after I stopped at the hobby shop earlier. And I'm even on this damn message board right now while it's perfect out.

Ira,unlike me you actually sell some of yours!!
I on the other hand keep buying and buying and buying!!!

But I save countless boomboxes that otherwise would have been abused
or neglected.
Getting the whole JVC RC series and all 8000-thru 9000 series GF's
is my thing!!!!!!
Love thy Boombox and keep all grails for lifetime pleasures!!
I'll have many beautiful boxes for my pleasure and a few for dismantling
and making better and well,just more boxes!
150-155 ,200 is my limit I decided that is a max figure!
Only grails now!!!!!
