Found some gold nail polish in my wife's stash. It will do for now.


Polished the speaker rings too. I mocked up the plexi front and top panel to see how the repair looks.... Eh its ok. To be perfect ot needs some filler and more sanding.

Moving along, finished everything else up, waiting for the RTV to dry for the tiny scale above the radio tuner behind the main plexi.

I really wanted an amber and white LED combo like my other M71, but I had to use red and white instead. Everything worked during testing with auxiliary 12v external power but now all hooked up factory the LED's won't light up .


So for now it is close to being finished. I will hashbout the LED issue later.

After this being the 4th M71 it is finally the one I will keep! I'm super stoked that it came with really minimal cosmetic damage to the front case and the gold trims. It could have been way worse. I didn't even have to rebelt the deck, it sounds perfect as it is.
