I have often thought about this. It must be hard, to come up with something new, as, everything has been done.

If you're interested in new music that sounds like it's from the 80s then my site is one you can frequent!

It specialises in new synth music that's done in the classic Vangelis/Jan Hammer soundtrack style as well as 80s synth pop sounds
and the classic italo disco sounds from the mid 80s. All the artists I cover have a deep love for 80s music and between this and actual
80s music that is all I listen to. I spend a lot of time hunting around and networking finding these producers and Synthetix is a home
dedicated to giving them an audience. It's a very healthy scene of producers making this 80s inspired synth music, but it's very
underground, i'm hoping this site gives them some more exposure to those who are fans of classic 80s sounds.

I'm hope some of you here will like it.

70% of what I listen to is mp3/flac recordings. 20% is Pandora. The other 10% is FM radio, but it is usually the same old bad stuff so I shut it off. Most of my new music comes from bands that I follow and I track their new releases via Facebook, Billboard, or Amazon. Most of this modern music is really bad or sampled anyway so I stick with mostly old school.

PLEASE!! Share it wherever you can, Warren!

I believe there's a huge audience for this music, currently it's only really being listened to by people in the electronic music scene, and mostly by producers.
I reckon this style will appeal to a LOT more people outside of the electronic scene, especially people who loved the music in the 80s the first time around and
are disenfranchised with modern popular music in general (like me!).

I was going through the dial yesterday, my normal channels on commercial, I heard something with a beat, chick singer, so I thought I would give it a chance...

What a pile of $%^&. Auto tune, same beat, same structure as every other pile of #$%^ that is new today. WTF? Can't these crappy band's lawyers write better music?  :bang:

Yeah!! I have had Absolute 80s streaming at work for the last couple of years. Great station! The Christian O'connell Breakfast show is cool too.

I recently switched to ABC80s out of Ireland though, they have a much broader playlist of 80s music I find. They play a lot more music that wasn't
'top 40s' from the 80s, and I'm amazed how oftern I hear new 80s music I've never heard before on there. No ads either.

That's one thing I love about picking up old 80's albums, the songs you never heard on the radio are great!
