Congrats and Welcome to the club. That is a hard one to ever let go of. Does your automatic meter switching feature still work? In other words when you touch the tuning knob, does it automatically swtich over from VU to batt/tuning function?

The sound from this box is pretty impressive to say the least.
I have been wanting to hear one for years and I can fairly say it did live up to my expectations.
Norm, that feature does work!!! It kind of weirded me out at first until i realized what it was doing.
I was going to ask if yours did that as well and also how does it work????
I have NEVER seen such a unique feature on a boombox EVER!!!
And the four presets are really neat to have. its like the radio has 4 separate tuners?
I did not pit it against the 5350 yet, I just put it up there for size reference but I can tell you this
it is probably every bit as loud and the build quality is every bit as nice.
Things I have to do aside from detail it is get the deck working and figure out what I believe
is a ground issue on the line in.
It has a quiet low level hum when line in is selected that goes away when you touch the antennas
or any of the jacks or ground lug on the side of the radio. Other than that I am very happy with it , and
i got a what I feel was a surprisingly good bargain on it.
Its like Norm said it would be very difficult to ever let go of a box like this!!!!

Congratulations!

Back in 1987, my friend Jermaine had a gold International version of that box... Wound up being the very 1st victim of my brand new TRC-931 when I took it over his house to find out which box was loudest.

My box was louder but I envied those green LED meters on his International 'cause at night you could see 'em flashing all the way down the street...
Seriously made me consider reversing the colors of the LED meters on my box but I never got around to it...

That said, I hope I can one day find the same box he had... I'll probably have to settle for a Clairtone tho 'cause if the Clairtone is rare,
the International is like the gold C-100F or BomBeat 40. :-/

that is a great looking unit. i have a friend who has one he has had since he got it when he lived in quebec.
clairtone was once a pretty famous canadian company.
that unit is super frank and you would be hard pressed to find another as nice as that.
