i'm new here in this special forum and i'll try to explain what my problems are:
First im from germany and my new old passion comes out and now im a proud new owner of 2 models from crown.
The 850l and the 950. Both in a good condition. But my little problem is the following:
I've renewed all the belts in the 850 and cleaned up the tape and all parts who are switching and moving an so on.
Now the tape is good and smooth working. But let me say that i've changed the original tape head and instead an original i've
assembled a different one from an old but good sharp wq tape. Now it looks different to the original but it works properly.
But only when the tape is playing. When i will recording the following ocured: Both VA-Meter are good workin and very similar
i mean the balance. This looks very good. When the tape is recording and when i now hear the recorded song or whatever
i can hear only the right side. The left side is very very quiet. When you take an original cassette both sides are good to hear.
But the left side is a bit quiter. Think the tweeter is a bit quieter than the right side. This is a main prob too.
But not what let me take my rest hair from my head. So maybee here is someone of you with similar probs or with
some ideas for solve this prob. For help ive been very thankfull. With kind regards from Neuruppin, Brandenburg, Germany
