Just got a new boomer and it was packed exactly was he said he would....with news paper!!!!

But the boombox gods must have been smiling on me as it arrived unscathed!!

I was surprised that my colleagues down under didn't snap this up!
I'm stoked as it's in reasonable knick and it's the predecessor (or budget) model to my 909 / 919 (777) boxes.
My wifes cuz just went back to Japan with instructions to find me some boomers.
She's between jobs so she's got nothing to do! :-P

Congrats. I got two times boomers packed the same way , and damn it looks like it work somehow. Or we have boomluck :thumbsup:

I agree. I prefer bubble wrap around bbx and the box stuffed with crumpled up newspaper over peanuts any day. Peanuts cause the bbx to move around!!!!

Actually, the newspaper did SFA!
Pure luck it was not smashed to pieces!
Gonna pull it down and clean it before taking it to work on Fri.

Peanuts used correctly work well but used incorrectly can easily shift letting the boomer settle against the side of the box.
I think one of the best ways to pack is bubble wrap the boomer then place it in a box and seal it, then place that box in a larger box with peanuts filling a gap of at least 1 to 2 inches around the inner box with peanuts or air bags. This method costs more but will keep the boomer safe from all but the biggest gorillas at Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, or ??
