Awesome Adam texted me with a Craigslist find an hour drive from me 👍thanks bro!!!! So I picked it up next day. Fisher PH480 from young guy who got it from his grandmother who passed away. Very clean and cheap but needed full restore. Now she's fully working from help with Scott who sent me PDF of service manual to adjust output meters. Still looking for original antennas if anyone has any for 480/490/492???? Only other issue seems to be bad capacitor for deck motor because when volume is turned up motor hesitates a little. Will check into that as well. But all in all an excellent deal😎😎

Isn't it great when the cosmetics are so nice when ya get them (outside of dirt) ? Makes the project go so much easier and that much more rewarding. Sweet score !

yes they are big and heavy and anybody who's never witnessed one of these things just have no idea what a monster they are

So I replaced deck motor cap and main power cap and still had issues. But then I just decided to check the voltage selector and the darn thing was set to 240v. Geez I guess that was issue cuz now everything works 100%👍👍👍

Wasn't really a waste of time though because I needed to repair the power cord input as well because it was cracked and loose. Now everything is fixed and I'm a happy camper😄😎

At least it was something easy and you didn't have the power in the reverse (100v plugged into 240v).

Yep for sure. Only $6 for 2 caps and at least I know they are new 👌
