likely not fake, there are a few people that have been doing this for the past couple of years. there is a guy that does christmas ones that has been all over the news.
Do a search for Wizards of Winter Ohio. That one was done by a guy in Mason Ohio named Carson Williams.
He said it took him 3 hours to write the sequence using Light-o-Rama and had 10,000 dollars worth of lights. Light-o-Rama is a pretty cool sequencer and very easy to use.
All these were done using the light-o-rama sequencer software/hardware. Most people that do it use an FM-Modulator to send the audio to passing cars rather than play it over speakers.

LOL, my wife just saw it on geekologie and asked me "Why do we not have this?" She just made me promise we can do some sequencing for our disco party in march

Oh its for real, I have also seen the christmas displays and they sell at any retailer selling christmas the complete kit for around $100 :thumbsup: not including lights of course ;-)

I have to learn how to use sequencers. Every Halloween we do it up but that is a whole new level.
