I didnt go crazy with painting on this one just a good thorough cleaning and deck work.
Sanded and painted the speaker grilles.
Let me tell you this sucker is well laid out and quality components!!! The deck is nicer than most ive seen
in a boombox .
Here are the pics.

We call any radio that makes it to Hemi's "The Pristines of FrankenVille"

Nice job,
although I would say, and I'm no expert,
that on the close - up of the cassette deck you look like you might be missing a belt on the take up.

nice Clairtone Hemiguy! How is that in size compared to the 7980/C-100F? How do those 4 tuner pre-set buttons work? Are they push-button presets like the old car radios? :-)

Hi Peter this box is about the same size as the M-90.
To get a better idea of its size compared to others look at my post ni the collections area.
Now as for the presets they have pushbuttons on the front to access them and four seperate tuning pots at the top of the radio to access the four individual tuners.

These 7979's are so cool. Its a box that has been under the radar for some strange reason? (Speaking of my own personal collection)

Looks clean as can be! Super nice!

Thanks Oklohoma,
Its been my main box since i got it.
I have to go back in it for the tape deck belts
but I hate to put it out of commision again
This box has been under the radar simply because
they dont show up very often. And not many people know
of its massive sound and quality.

Hey Hemi, great work as always. What is that nasty crap that is always in these radios and where does it come from?

Thanks for the great pics that is a sweet radio and I agree, you rarely ever see them for sale.
