been offered a 7978 for $300

they look exactly the same to me

When you say 20/20 if you mean the Rising SRC-2005, then yes it's the same as a Clairtone 7978.

Those are both 7978's. The only reason some people call them 20/20 is because of the "20" badges behind the grills.
Biggest thing to check for is missing knobs, missing battery door, missing antennas or antenna tips, and cracked feet.
