Careful MasterZ, the home audio bug can quickly overwhelm and swallow you whole. Ask someone who knows..... I see the picture showing s a bit of clutter developing already!
:w00t:  :w00t:

I know, I know, but I'm going to try to keep it reasonable. I'm not going to have more than one receiver and one set of speakers at a time. I SWEAR! :-D

there is way more chance of piecing together a killer system for next to nothing than finding a m90 in the wild.
klh speakers are pretty cool. i was really lucky to scoop a pair of sixties speakers designed by one of the founders of klh.
welcome to the world of wierdness when it comes to vintage speaker design.
theres just so many possibilities out there and well the draw back is this hobby fills up rooms way to fast.
be careful.

Like ghettoblasters dont?!?! :-P
I limit my self on those too. I like to think I have some self control. :-D

MasterZ, gettoblasters don't take nearly the room home audio gear does. Loaded on a shelf sideways, you can put a bunch of boxes there.

Also, I have a couple of speakers (JBL L-300's). They are the size of small washing machines. Each. A pair of these would equate to a pallet full of M-90's.

yep after the big wharfendales came home and the large advents i decided that i am going to have to limit myself to really good bookshelves from now on.

hmmm lets see the current run down of speakers here and what i paid for them.

larger advents 50 bucks sound really good.
wharfendale 400s paid nothing got them from the old movie theatre that threw eight pairs in the trash. could only take one pair on the bike trailer.
hm b&w solids monitors. small speakers that will blow your mind ultra cool design very space 1999 sound so good four for 20 bucks.
klipsch 1.5s black really beautiful sounding bookshelf speakers with a lot of bass. 10 bucks

genesis 1s not the white van speakers that bare the same name but the ones made by the guy from human they sound so good and have the most bass from any eight inch woofer i have ever heard due to thier special design 10 bucks.
of all my speakers those are my favorites they are not the loudest our the bassiest but they sound extremely good and i cant believe how such a simple design works so well.

hmm lets see what else.
a very interesting no name set of speakers from the sixties with cts woofers and phenolic tweeters. they really sound incredible and i have tried forever to figure out who made them. no luck. i found some similiar looking ones in a old photo from england in a studio but still no luck figuring out who they were made from.
a pair of klh model 31 speakers real nice
a pair of realistic minimus 7s with the aluminum cabinetry tiny speakers but really nice sound.
thats about it but i got some other speakers in my studio nothing to crazy just a set of tannoy reveals which sound a hell of a lot like those klipsch 1.5s.
as i say i am only buying small bookshelf speakers now.
i just dont have the space. i have also decided to cut myself off to amps which put out over a hundred watts now.
dont get me wrong if something nice presents itself i will grab it but..
space.
