Can't find belt sizes for Kasuga 2602 Boombox. I did find an old post on here discussing the sizes, but nobody ever confirmed. If anybody knows the sizes, please let me know so that I can order them on turntable needles.com if they have them. Thank you

If you can open the boombox, try to measure the belt length with a cotton string, put it that way the belt goes. Not easy to explain in English, with the length, or diameter of the cotton string minus a few percent (like 3- or round about 5 millimeters) you get the original length.
When the new belt is inside, wait a day because the belt stretches slightly (sometimes, let the drive run for a few minutes), than you can set the speed more correct. If you have NO idea to set the tape speed, use an original Music cassette and play the song and also the same song with your computer and try to sync it. Not easy, i know, so the song should be a little longer... Now you have to set the tape speed in sync with the song that plays on your computer (please use a computer, with the space bar, you can pause and play the song precisely (-:
The easy way would be to record a sine tone with you best tapedeck (500 or 1000 hz) and load an oscilloscope app to your smartphone.

Appreciate it, I have measured belts before I was just hoping that someone had already figured it out so I could order them before having to open up the box then have it laying around waiting for the belt to ship. It seems like a pretty popular box I'm very surprised that no one has this information out here. Once I get it figured out I guess I will post up where I got them and the size that I used.

I edited the first post to correct the spelling of Kasuga and also corrected the model number to 2602. That might help future readers. ;-)

Although, the Kasuga "bolt" box is indeed popular, it was considered an "off" brand compared to Sony, Sharp, or JVC. I imagine that finding a service manual would be nearly impossible. :-/

You can buy variety packs of flat belts and square belts on eBay . they usually have belts that work on most boombox decks .
