That is way South on the Cali/Mexico Border. If No California members step up to help You, PM Me and have him send it to Me. I'll try My best to make sure it gets to You safely.

Shipping to Brazil is expensive. 150 is Express Mail price.

The only other option is Priority Mail, which is 120 usd, plus 25-30 for him to send it to me. So you would not be saving anything at all. :sadno:

I agree with the Relish man. First, he might not be willing to ship to an unconfirmed address. I know I wouldn't. Secondly, by the time it's shipped anywhere here in CA, and reshipped once again, you might not save anything. Before anyone takes this assignment, I highly suggest you take a look at costs at USPS.com. I just did a search and no matter how I entered weight/dimensions, I could not get better than around $350 USD and only express mail option was available. Perhaps I'm not entering something correct. The way I see it, $150 seems cheap right now. A 22lb package (M70 is approx 17lbs before packaging) and 24" x 10" x 20" comes up to around $350.

26x15x11 = $140 because it's under 79 inches total length + girth, but not much protection there.

That box is not a size that I would feel comfortable shipping an M70 with, especially internationally. If seller ships directly to you, and it is damaged, you have recourse. Seller ships it to Reli. Tracking shows it delivered successfully. Then Reli ships it to Brazil. 26x15x11 and it gets damaged. Who pays?

This came up like "blind alley" for hardmen, at the end it is most practical to get direct shipping for that $150 :hmmm:
Or with much more $, first shipped to nearest member (just to be sure for quality of packing) then to reshipping (right and secure) to hardmen in brazil :hmmm: but if gets damaged.........?

Who is the seller? In their feedback do they have experience shipping large electronics? If not, have him send it to me and I'll make sure it's packaged right, but again, you won't save any money, and in fact might pay more.

Might be worth it to spend the extra money just to have Reli package it. At least you know it will be safe.

If I remember correctly, the shipping cost of the Candle / Helix box I sent to Mauricio was about $100 in addition to the $20 it cost to have the box shipped to me first. The M70 is about the same size, but it is definitely a heavier box. Also, the USPS has raised prices a couple of times since then.

Mauricio, I would go ahead and pay the $150. :-)

Earlier today, I used the box that MONO mailed My Lasonic 922 in, placed it back inside it and took it directly to My local UPSP store. My friend Mike there typed in the Mauricio's address He provided Me. $98 + a few extras. He said it'd be around $110. I had to ask Joe & Bill what the weight of the M70 was. And just from memory, I guestimated that the 922 was approx. the same size. The weight didn't seem to matter as much as the size (according to Mike) for shipping to Brazil. Still, all in all, $150 (without the middleman) doesn't seem so bad - as long as He knows how to pack it.

Gotta agree with everyone here. Your shipping costs is actually in a pretty sweet spot. I've had stuff come from all over and $150 is very good. :-)

I´m talking by mail right now with the seller and the shipping price is that (150.00) BUT.

When shipping, I ask him for not insurance full amount (250.00 box + 150.00 shipping) because customs here input 60% in taxes in that sum... ...but he did not want to send if not the full value!!! :sadno:

One USD is worth two Brazilian "Reais" (name of our currency)... ...the final price of that box when arrives here it´s some like 650.00 USD...

Maybe I should cancel the deal... ...unfortunately... :-/

Cheers.

I've never heard of anyone insuring the shipping cost. He should ONLY be insuring the contents of the box.

Sending Priority International:
Priority Mail International® Insurance*

Uninsured Priority Mail International parcels include indemnity against loss, damage, or missing contents. Coverage is calculated based on the weight of the parcel or the value of the contents, whichever is less. You can purchase insured mail service if available for an additional fee. Additional insurance limits vary by country. When international insurance is purchased, it replaces indemnity coverage. Individual country prohibitions and restrictions apply.
More info at: https://www.usps.com/ship/insurance-and-extra-services.htm

Personally, I think I would back out. A seller that ignorant on insurance is probably just as ignorant on how to package an M70.
