I was gonna walk to the store, but I only made it to the bottom of the stoop. I know there was a sidewalk here yesterday. :annoyed:
On the plus side, I've spent the last 24 hrs. getting the deck on my M9990 super-tight. Should be done in a couple of hours - the deck and the storm.

How I stayed occupied:

If anyone wants to get my car out, there's a can of DeOxit and 3 TDK XL-II 90's in it for you.
I think I'll deal with it tomorrow.

Well...at least you had time to get ready for it. And there's no denying the time well spent with the boomers. Unless you had something with a boom of another type to occupy your time.

That's some nice snow there!!

I like days like this especially if you don't have to work.
BTW I just had my M9990K out just a couple of days ago!!
Really nice warm deep bass-great boomer with the dial lights, one for
the clock and 1 for the dial. :surf:
My tape deck all works except slightly slow, need new motor or adjustment
but is not bad. :-)

I can't remember if there is a speed screw on these motors or not. :hmmm:
I thank Ira for helping me find mine!! :surf:

Have a good weekend!!

Thanks guys.
I feel your pain, Robb. It's been a long time since we've seen a storm like this around here.
Ghettoboom, I think mine sounds a tiny bit slow, too, after listening to it for a couple of hours. I'm not sure of a speed ajustment either, but I'll look when I open it up again. This deck is a real PITA to work on. I even used some of my piano supplies to get it right. :-O
I'll explain later, in Tech Talk. Right now I'm too busy listening to it to bother opening it up. Besides, I have plenty of work to do tomorrow, too. I've gotta get the car out.

Don't I know it about the deck,I replaced or cleaned a couple of belts
but there were 2 more I didn't get to. :-O
That's a Sanyo for you! :'-(
Don't even get mr going about 9998!! :nonono: :-O I won't even try
after 2 attempts earlier in my career.I'm getting alot better but NOT
THAT much better!!

Looks to be 26-27" right there.
BTW I'm from Mn. The 3 day blizzard of 91 Halloween was 37" +
super winds and drifts!!The only time I've seen Minneapolis closed
down completely because just as fast as you would clear it it would
Fill right back in. I actually was watching at times 1" per 5 minutes! :-O :w00t:

It was amazing-stranded at a friends house for 2 days! We had lots of food
candy, soda and party supplies.I actually went back to my house at 7:00
PM to get my 'supplies' about 20 miles away that first Friday night.
My 75' Laguna Type S-3 was like a snowmobile up to about 15" then
it's spinning and maybe get hung up.
Well I made it back to his house! BTW that Friday was Halloween!!!!! :ghost: :jacko: :jacko: :witch: :frankenstein: :jacko: :jacko:
I will never forget that storm!!! :-) :-D :w00t:

GB, The final total here in the Wu-City is 28". That seems to be the average for the Boston area. We're usually spared the heavy stuff, due to our proximity to the city. But this storm didn't discriminate. I had plenty of supplies on hand: Frozen burritos, drumsticks, oil for the fryalator, 36 Miller Lites, other unmentionable supplies, all my tools, and a half-bottle of Jim Bean.
I'm always amazed that a couple of speakers screwed to a piece of plastic can eat up most of the real estate in a 10'x17' kitchen, when broken down.
I'll post some more pics when I dig out my vehicle later this morning.
:beer2: :weed: :jason: :drunk: :breakdance: In that order.

The bigger the storm, the bigger the emergency Blaster!

I managed to free my company vehicle. As for my car, that's another story. I abandoned it at work on Friday, so I won't see it until later. I may leave it until April.

Unfortunately, my trusty shovel was forced to retire.

Weather likes this makes me want to hurry and finish some work on
my 87' GMC 2500 off-road recovery vehicle!
My tires sit over 3 feet high and now for some serious special off road
shocks with springs or coil overs for a little more lift!
I have a 4 speed manual with the super low granny gear and high
and low range 4 wheel drive with positraction! Yes 5th.wheel suspension
with swing hitch!! :-O :surf: After the stuff I'm doing with shocks the it's
time for front driving lights, rear spot light and front winch!!! :w00t:
I'm getting very serious about my truck!
Photos not for at least 45 days,
Must finish my water pump, all new Gates belts, new Prestone.I have
all of this ready to put in.Then having new master cylinder put in next
month! After that it's just shocks and front driving lights!
Last later in the summer it's the winch! :-)
Sorry, just seeing this makes me want to get my truck out!! The boomers
are done in about 2 weeks!! After the 9595 I'm done for 4-5 months!!! :-)
